Retirement dues to rail men from April 25

Karachi: The Pakistan Railways Karachi Division has finalized arrangement of payments of retirement dues to its 90 employees who retired in the year 2012 from April 24, 2014.

The government has already released a grant of Rs120million for the payment of dues of Pakistan Railways retirees of Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Mughalpura Workshop, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta and Karachi divisions. The PR Karachi Division has received Rs350million from this grant and it would be spend to clear retirement dues of 90 employees who retired from the service in the year 2012. Their cheques would be completed on April 24 and distributed amongst the retirees from April 25 and the process would be completed before May 1, 2014.

Pakistan Railway Workers Union chairman Manzoor Razi welcoming the release of grant demanded to release more funds to the Pakistan Railways so that the dues of railway workers who retired or died in the years 2013 and 2014 would also be cleared at the earliest.
