KARACHI: Saiban International Welfare Organization has helped eight prisoners in their release from District Jail Malir.
Chairman Saiban, Haq Nawaz Akhtar paid the amount of fine, traveling expenses gpt release of the prisoners. he prisoners pointed the fact to District and Session Judge, Malir Farooq Ali Channa during his visit to Malir Prison along with judicial magistrates and SIWO’s representatives.
Under judicial policy of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), the Judges visited the jail to meet the prisoners to learn about the status of the cases against them and other problems of facing in the prisons.
Others accompanying the Incharge District and Session Judge Farooq Ali Channa, were Judicial Magistrates Adam H. Singhar, Nader Khan Burdi, Vice Chairman Saiban International Welfare Organization Murad Khan Afridi & General Secretary Haider Ali Haider, PS to DJ Malir Zubair Bin Mehmood, Deputy Superintendent of the Malir Jail Mohammad Hassan Sehto, Assistant Superintendents Maqsood Memon, Asif Sarfaraz and other jail officials were also present.
He went round various barracks, met the prisoners and gathered detailed of the on-going cases in various courts. He listened to the problems of the prisoners in barracks and assured them of speedy justice. On the occasion, a large number of prisoners presented applications for an early hearing of their cases while many submitted applications for the review of the court decisions.
During his visit to different barrackes, the prisoners informed the judges that they had completed their sentence but are in jail because of inability to pay the fined amount.
