Karachi: Save Pakistan Cricket Movement’s Ameer Ikram Khan on Saturday said the Pakistan Cricket Team has proved after winning the second test match against Bangladesh that the senior cricketers are backbone of the team.
He suggested the critics to come forward to encourage these players. He said before criticizing the senior players, their winning abilities should also be recognized.
He said the credit of winning the match goes to Younis Khan and junior player Azahar Ali. He wished that had Younis Khan were the captain of the Pakistani team in ODI Series, they could have win with combination of junior and seniors. He blamed that there is lack of planning in the cricket board so we lost the ODI Series.
He demanded from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to arrange at least two matches in Karachi against Zimbabwe. He said no any cricketer either national or foreigner was ever attacked in the metropolis so the lovers of cricket in Karachi should not be disappointed.
