KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday directed the SSPs of Hyderabad and Matiari to recover and produce the National Highway Authority’s director who was kidnapped on November 7.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Maqbool Baqar gave these directions while hearing a petition of Zeeshan Sheikh, who moved the court seeking recovery of his brother Shabbir Ahmed Sheikh, a director of National Highway Authority.
The day before, SHC chief justice had converted an application of Zeeshan into the constitutional petition. Zeeshan had addressed an application to the SHC chief justice requesting him to take notice of kidnapping of his brother and direct law enforcers to make efforts for his recovery.
Zeeshan submitted that his brother Shabbir Ahmed Sheikh, a director of NHA was kidnapped when he was travelling from Benazirabad to Moro on November 7. He added that the police were reluctant to make efforts for his recovery.
