KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday directed Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Sultan Ali Khawaja, to make all-out efforts to recover a citizen missing since 2011.
A division bench headed by Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh issued this direction while hearing of a petition filed by Aslam Khan Ghori seeking whereabouts of his son Irfan Khan Ghori, taken captive by criminals during ethnic riots in Karachi in 2011.
The petitioner, Ghori, submitted that his son Irfan Khan Ghori was kidnapped from Pak Colony on August 17, 2011, and despite the payment of ransom amount his son was not released by the captors.
DIGP CIA informed the bench that main accused Salman Chocolaty Baloch behind the kidnapping of Khan was arrested on May 24 and certain disclosure regarding captive would surface within 10 days.
Hearing of case was adjourned till June 10.
