KARACHI: The Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Saturday condemned the assassinations of advocates Syed Waqar Shah and Ghulam Haider Raza: in 10th and 11th of April’s incidents: and also the act of terrorism in Rawalpindi Court premises in which two persons were killed.
The association said that not just the present government has failed to protect the citizens: but: so called targeted operation being carried out in Karachi has also been failed to maintain law and order situation in the city.
“The targeted killing of lawyers is being carried out by the terrorists in order to stop them from performing their professional duties in prosecuting the terrorists and anti-social elements: ” the association said.
The SHCBA demanded that the culprits be arrested forthwith and prosecuted. It was further demanded that the compensation of Rs.10: 00: 000 be immediately paid to the legal heirs of the deceased lawyers.
