Sindh assembly adjourned for lack of quorum


Karachi: Sindh Assembly that often meet one hour or more late meet only 10 minutes late on Friday; however, the speaker adjourned the session as only seven members were present.

Assembly met with speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in chair only 10 minutes late than its scheduled time of 10:00am. However, only five members were present.

Speaker said that it is always blamed on him that he does not come on time and the session starts late. But today he thought to start the session on time, however, the members from both government and opposition side are not present.

On this, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sikandar Mandhro said that members should come on time and session should be started on time. PPP’s Nisar Khuhro said that bells can be rung for few minutes again to give time to members to come. However, even after passage of 10minutes only 7 members were present in the house and the speaker adjourned it on 10:20am till Monday at 10 AM.
