KARACAHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Mohammad Siddique Memon has assured the WAPDA & Baluchistan government Sindh Governments best cooperation in respect of realignment of RBOD-III (Right Bank Outfall Drain Project) South Division which is to be undertaken under consensus of WAPDA and Government of Sindh & Baluchistan.
The project is located in Naseerabad and Jafarabad districts of Baluchistan, and Kamber- Shahdadkot District of Sindh. The issues thereof include resolution of management of RBOD extension drain -financial constraints, and reservations of Kamber-Shahdadkot people.
The chairman WAPDA Zafar Mehmood, Secretary Irrigation Sindh Zaheer Shah his counterpart Baluchistan Sher Zaman Khan and the relevant officers attended the meeting.
Chairman WAPDA briefed about the salient features and proposed solutions of the issues. It was decided that the meeting of the Sindh Baluchistan administration would be held while the meeting of all stakeholders including WAPDA shall be convened later this month, where in the experts will also be invited to elaborate their flexible proposals.
Concluding the meeting the Chief Secretary Sindh thanked WAPDA & Baluchistan Government representative for resolving the issues.
