Sindh removes 177 OPS officers

KARACHI: Sindh government on Tuesday removed 177 own pay scale (OPS) officers from their posts and directed them to report to their parent departments.

According to a notification issued on Tuesday, the directives were given by Chief Minister Sindh in order to comply with the Supreme Court of Pakistan orders.

The officers were removed from different Sindh government departments including law, Auqaf, religious affairs, Zakat and Ushr, health and others.

Some of the officers which were removed from their posts include Administrator Zakat Sindh Farman Ali Tanwari, Director Monitoring, Implementation and evaluation, Criminal Prosecution, Service Wing Law Department Syed Mehboob Ali Shah, Secretary Quality Control Board Muhammad Idrees, Medical Superintendent (MS) Lyari General Hospital Abdul Aziz Soomro, MS CDF Hospital Hyderabad Dr Usman Haroon, MS Sir CJ Institute of Psychiatry Hyderabad Dr Nasir Jalbani, MS Anwar Paracha Govt Hospital Sukkur Vijay Kumar and others.
