Six killed, one injured in Karachi


KARACHI: Six people including a woman were killed and one other injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

A man, Waseem, 20, son of Sharif, was shot dead by unknown armed persons in Razi Goth, Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

In another incident, a man, Abdul Waheed, 38, son of Abdur Rasheed was killed and one Ahmad Ali, 55, son of Hamid, wounded in firing by unidentified gunmen at Sarafa Bazaar in Paposh Nagar, Nazimabad. The body and injured were brought to ASH.

A youth, Mohammad Arif, 25, son of Khushal Khan, was injured by gunmen near Saleem Hotel, Gul-e-Ahmad Chowrangi in Landhi. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Strangulated body of one Rehan Azam, 35, son of Nasir Arif Azam, was recovered from his home at Al-Khizra Apartment, Gulistan-e-Jauher. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

Another strangulated body was found from a house in Pakistan Bazaar area of Orangi. The deceased was identified as Shakir, 32 son of Awais. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

Tortured body of an unknown woman was recovered from Chakra Goth in Korangi area. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.
