SPLA stages protest against Pechuho

KARACHI: Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against secretary education, Sindh, Fazlullah Pechuho, condemning recent manhandling of teachers.

A large number of protestors carrying placards reached outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC).

The protestors chanted slogans against Pechuho and demanded action against him.

The protest was led by Syed Ali Murtaza, president SPLA, Feroz Uddin Siddiqui, Syed Jameel Kazmi and others. Representative of civil society and human rights of Pakistan also present in the protest.

Addressing the protestors, the leaders condemned statement of Pechuho about teachers. They said abusing a teacher is abusing the entire society.

They demanded to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to take action against Pechuho and dole out justice to the teachers; otherwise, they will stage a sit-in outside the chief minister house on 25th April.
