Sports: Cricket: Advance Telecom beat AKG in cricket tourney


Karachi: Advance Telecom thrashed host Aga Khan Gymkhana registering a convincing 81-run victory in 27th Aga Khan Ramzan Festival T-20 Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.

Advance Telecom batted first in the match and put on board 181-8 in 20 overs. Mukhtar Ahmed (57 runs) and Babar Agha (43 runs) batted well for the side. Hussain Ali bowled well for Aga Khan Gymkhana and captured a five-wicket haul.

In response, Aga Khan Gymkhana scored only 100 runs losing all of their wickets in 15.4 overs. Suleman Huda and Adnan Barohi top scored for the side each scoring 18 runs. Khursheed Afridi took three wickets while Babar Agha and Babar Azam grabbed two wickets each.
