Sports: Cricket: Afghanistan beat Vital Five in a festival match


Karachi: Afghanistan cricket team defeated Vital Five Cricket Club in a festival fifty-over match played here at Country Club Cricket Ground. Afghanistan is training here in Pakistan to prepare for the upcoming ACC Cricket Trophy to be played in Malaysia.

Vital Five Cricket Club batted first in the match and put on board 260 runs before losing all of their wickets in allotted 50 overs. Asad Baig (70) and Rameez Aziz (45) batted well for the side. Usman Khan captured three wickets while skipper Muhammad Nabi took two wickets.

Afghanistan in response reached the target in 46th over with Shafiqullah playing an impressive 100-run knock. Noor Khan took three wickets for Vital Five.
