Karachi: All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will leave for Chennai tonight to have his bowling action unofficially tested at the ICC-accredited facility on January 3.
“The test would be conducted on January 3, he will leave tonight (Monday night),” arynews.tv quoted PCB Media manager Agha Akbar.
Pakistan’s former spin maestros Saqlain Mushtaq and Mushtaq Ahmed have both worked with Hafeez and his action would now be tested.
Although, Hafeez is an effective opener, but if he is not cleared for bowling, selectors would find it difficult to place him in the squad for the World Cup, as he has been struggling with his form with the bat.
