Sports: Cricket: Sharjeel stars in Advance Telecom win


Karachi: Pakistan’s international player Sharjeel Khan played an impressive 83-run knock and helped Advance Telecom record a formidable seven-wicket triumph against Soni Associates in 27th Aga Khan Ramzan Festival T-20 Cricket Tournament here Friday at Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground.

Soni Associates batted first in the match and put on board 155-8 in 20 overs. Ahmed Hussain batted well for the side and scored 75 off 54 balls. Nasir Owais took three wickets.

Advance Telecom in response reached the victory total easily in 14.4 overs with seven wickets in hand. Sharjeel Khan played an explosive 83-run knock off only 34 balls. Mukhtar Ahmed scored 42 of 25 balls.
