Sports: Hockey: PHF announces probables for Youth Olympic Games


Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Wednesday announced 24 probables for Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Nanjing, China from August 16 to 28.

The training camp of the U-18 probables will begin on July 10 at Johor Town Hockey Stadium in Lahore. The camp will conclude on July 25 and would later begin on August 3, which will continue till departure of the team for event. The probables have been directed to report to Tahir Zaman, Camp Commandant. Probables:

Goalkeepers: Sheraz Hafeez (NBP), Roman Khan (Customs), Muneeb-ur-Rehman (Railways) and Usman Malik (PIA). Full-Backs: Mubashir Ali (NBP), Abid Bhatti (NBP), Sunil Mahmood (NBP) and Tanzeem-ul-Hassan. Halves: Sikandar Mustafa (NBP), Junaid Kamal (NBP), Shah?? Faisal Shah (Punjab), Abu Bakar (PIA), Faizan Ali (NBP) and Muhammad Usman (Punjab C). Forwards: Mohammad Atiq (NBP), Nohaiz Zahid Malik (PIA), Junaid Manzoor (PIA), Shan Irshad (NBP), Sami Ullah (PAF), Mohammad Arslan (PIA), Azfar Yaqoob (PIA), Rana Taimoor (NBP), Bilal Mahmood (WAPDA) and Rana Sohail Riaz.

Officials: Tahir Zaman (Manager and Head Coach), Zeeshan Ashraf, Muhammad Kashif Jawad, Muhammad Ali Khan and Sabir Ali (Coaches).
