Karachi: Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) has been forced to postpone the second edition of South Asian Men Netball Championship due to delay in visa process of foreign teams by Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and Interior Division.
“The visiting teams have not received visa for their respective teams yet. So we are unable to organize the tournament as scheduled. The delay in the process of issuance has happened from our concerned departments,” a PNF official said.
The championship was scheduled to run from June 23 to 26 at PSB Sports Complex in Islamabad. Apart from host Pakistan and neighbouring India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives are also expected to participate in the tournament.
“We will see how soon the other teams get visas and on the basis of that duration we will announce the new dates,” the source added.
