Karachi: The Servis Tyres Rugby Super XVs League, organized by Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), begins today (Sunday) at different venues of the country.
The Super League will feature twelve teams and six different university teams, which will compete separately in Universities’ League.
The teams taking part in the Super League are Islamabad Jinns, Lahore DHA Wild Bears, Multan Wolfs, RYK Green Bears, Lodran Spartans, AIT Rugby Club, Bawalnager Desert Camels, Muzafgurgh Rugby Club, Vihari Rugby Club, Bawlanger Rugby Club, KPK Rugby Club and Fata Rugby Club.
Meanwhile, in Universities’ League Punjab University PU, University of Lahore UOL, Lahore School of Economics (LSE), FAST University (FAST), University of Sargodah and Lahore School of Management & Sciences (LUMS) will be seen in action.
The matches are scheduled to take place all over Pakistan and PRU has also announced that it will use these matches as a talent hunt to select national team.
PRU President Fawzi Khawaja said that this event would be organized in a befitting manner with an aim to promote the game of rugby throughout the country.
