Karachi: Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) is organizing seventh edition of National Junior U-21 Snooker Championship from January 5-10 here at Movenpick Hotel Arcade.
Thirty players from all over Pakistan will be seen in action during the tournament, which offers prize purse of Rs 130,000.
The thirty players have been divided into eight groups and top two players from each group will qualify for Last-16 stage. The qualifying round will be five-frame affairs while pre-quarters and quarterfinals will be battled in seven frames. Semifinals will be competed in nine frames while the final will be eleven frames affair.
Mohammad Majid Ali will be seen defending title during the tournament.
The tournament will also serve as qualifier for forthcoming 16th Asian U-21 Snooker Championship to be held in China. The finalists of the local tournament will be selected for the Asian event in China.
