Karachi: Pakistani cueists Tuesday left Karachi for Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt to participate in the IBSF World 6-Red and Team Championship. Pakistan’s top cueist and former World Champion Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Sajjad will represent Pakistan in the tournament.
“We will put our best in the tournament,” said enthusiastic Asif, who recently received belated reward from government of Pakistan for his impressive showings in world championship in 2012 and other international tournaments.
He added that he and his teammate Sajjad have prepared for the tournament well and he expects good results in the tournament.
Sajjad also echoed Asif’s words and said that he would be vying for top honors in the tournament.
Jawed Karim will be the team manager and President Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association (PBSA) Alamgir A. Shaikh will also accompany the team as delegate. Shabbir Hussain will also leave for Egypt to officiate matches during the said event.
