Sports: Softball: SFP organizes coaching course for Deaf Children

Karachi: Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) is organizing the first ever Introduction and Coaching Course for Deaf Children on April 2 here at Park for Special People in Clifton.

“This is for the first time that a coaching course would be organized for deaf players.” said national softball head coach Asif Azeem on Wednesday. “With this course, we will be promoting the game among deaf children with an aim to attract them towards healthy activities.”

Asif added that basic knowledge regarding the sport would also be disseminated among the participants.

Apart from Asif, NA Shirazi, Mohammad Zeeshan Merchant and Zaheer Hussain would also introduce the basics of softball and would coach the participants.

The program will separately be conducted for three different age groups. The first group would comprise of participants aged 10 to 14, the second from age 15 years to 18 and the third group would consists of participants aged above 18 years of age.

The participants will also be given certificates after the conclusion of the coaching program. A team of deaf children will also be formed after the conclusion of the coaching course.
