Karachi: Hania Naveed and Rida Khan cruised into the summit clash of ladies singles event of 13th Westbury Open Ranking Tennis Tournament here Thursday at DA Creek Club.
Hania Naveed zapped her semifinal opponent Fiza Ali recording a convincing and immaculate 6-0, 6-0 triumph. Rida Khan also managed straight-set victory but her opponent Kinza Ghanchi took her to full stretch in each set before she eventually recorded a 7-6, 7-6 win.
Meanwhile, in men’s singles quarterfinals, Abdul Majeed found tough resistance from Asad Khan before recording a 6-1, 1-6, 10-8 victory.
Syed Zuhair Raza also made it to the event’s semifinals after thrashing Hasan Farooq by 6-0, 6-1 score. Malik Hamza overpowered Dawar Rehan by 6-3, 6-0 score.
