KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to the people of the city in their participation in Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan Convention, held by JI the other day at Nishtar Park.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Hafiz Naeem said that the people with their massive participation in the Convention have proved that they want change in the shape of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
“The people of Karachi have proved their full confidence in the leadership of (JI) through their participation in the convention in large numbers”, he added.
He reiterated his pledge that the JI would turn Karachi into the city of lights once again with the full support of the people, adding that the convention would prove first drop of rain in restoration the past glory of the city.
He appealed to the party workers to perform nawafils of thanks before Allah Almighty on the big success of the convention. He also lauded the efforts of party workers, who worked day and night in arranging such a historic gathering and asked the party workers to expedite their struggle for the restoration of peace in the city.
