Three fall prey to city violence

KARACHI: Three persons were killed and three others injured in separate violence incidents here on Wednesday.

Rescue team recovered two bodies of unidentified men, aged around 30 to 40, from Link Road area near Super Highway. The sources said that the persons were killed in firing by indentified armed men. The bodies were brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a man, Abdul Majeed, 50, son of Dildoz, resident of Lyari, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Lyari General Hospital. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Yet in another incident, a man, Mueenuddin, 40, son of Niyyat Khan, was shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Paracha Roundabout in Shershah area. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Separately, a person, Saeed, 42, son of Taaj, resident of Golimar area, was injured in firing by unidentified armed men near Choona Depot in Liaquatabad. He was brought to ASH for treatment.

Meanwhile, a youth, Najeebullah, 25, son of Chaman Khan was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Banaras Chowk. The injured was rushed to CHK for treatment.
