Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan has said that his party has been serving the ailing humanity for last 65 years, adding that the people have full confidence on Al-Khidmat Welfare Society due to their honest and competent leadership.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony of addition of three new coffin carrier buses into the fleet of Al-Khidmat Coffin Carrier Service at Idara-e-Noor Haq.
JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, General Secretary Abdul Wahab, General Secretary Al-Khidmat Engr Abdul Aziz, Ameer District Bin Qasim Muhammad Islam, Ameer District South Abdul Wahid, and others were also present.
JI Chief handed over the keys of new buses to the Ameer District South Hafiz Abdul Wahid and Ameer District Bin Qasim Muhammad Islam and District East Muhammad Sabir.
Munawar Hasan said that the Al-Khidmat Welfare Society was serving the humanity without any discrimination of cast, colour, creed and religion.
He regretted that the governments of most of the Muslim countries have not yet been done any significant in the welfare sector, however; most of the welfare works have been carried out in the private sector.
“JI and Al-Khidmat have significant share in carrying out relief and welfare activities throughout the country and will continue its welfare works with great honest and sincerity”, he added.
He further said that the Al-Khidmat has great honour at its side that it was not only disburse its prime responsibilities in famine-hit areas of Tharparkar, but also had a privilege for carried out welfare works in flood-hit and quake-hit areas of the country.
He further informed that the Al-Khidmat will soon start mobile mortuary van service in the city, adding that the help centers of Al-Khidmat were also providing several facilities to the ailing humanity including wheel chairs, commode chairs, walkers, nebulizers, patient beds and etc.
