Three killed, 12 injured in road mishaps

KARACHI: Three persons were killed and 12 others injured in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Monday.

Two persons, including a boy, were killed when a speeding vehicle hit their motorcycle near Baqai Hospital on Super Highway. They were identified as Altaf, 25, and Hanif, 13, son of Siddique. The bodies were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

A seven-year-old girl Zareena, daughter of Mehboob, was killed when a vehicle hit her in Khairabad in Orangi town area. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

A bus and oil tanker collided on Hub River Road near Yousaf Goth. As a result, 12 persons were injured. Three injured women, Bilqees, 35; Noor Jahan, 35; and Abida, 35; were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi, while remaining were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
