KARACHI: Provincial Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Monday said under-construction trauma center in Civil Hospital Karachi will be completed before 4th June.
Talking to media person during his visit to Civil Hospital Karachi, Dahar expressed his annoyance over the delay in the construction work.
He said in future, they will be able to cater to patients’ trauma requirement not only in Karachi but also in other part of Sindh province at center. He also visited fire-affected emergency center of hospital and directed officials for re-construction of building as soon as possible.
While addressing a seminar on the theme “Dangers of Radiation and Safety Measurement” held at Operation Theater Civil Hospital Karachi, he said awareness about dangerous radiological rays in medical staff and general public are very important. In this connection, Nuclear Safety & Radiation Committee had been formed under supervision of medical superintendent of Civil Hospital Karachi.
He said aim of forming committing was to create awareness in general public and medical staff as per international standard. He said safety measure should be practiced by using radiation.
Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Karachi Prof Saeed Qureshi, Prof Khalida Soomro and Prof Saba Sohail also spoke on this occasion.
