Two MQM men remanded to police in weapons case

KARACHI: The judicial magistrate East on Thursday remanded on two accused Naeem alias Guddu and Habibur Rehman, to police on physical custody till 13th May 2015 in newly registered illicit weapons possession case.

Police produced both the accused before the judicial magistrate East judge and submitted that they were already in police’s custody under physical remand in murder case of a policeman, Zeeshan Akram.

The investigation officer requested the court to allow physical remand of both the accused in this case as well which was accepted by judicial magistrate VI. The court also directed police to submit investigation report on the next hearing.

According to prosecution, on the indication of suspects two 9MM pistols were recovered from Korangi Industrial Area.

Naeem alias Guddu and Habibur Rehman were among the suspects arrested from Muttahida Quami Movement’s headquarter, Nine-Zero, on early morning of March 11, 2015.
