KARACHI: An Anti-terrorism Court-I (ATC-I) on Saturday remanded two suspects, Mohammad Abid and Jamshed, to jail custody till 28 November 2014 in an explosive materials case.
Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security.
The Investigation Officer submitted before the court that both the accused were no more required for investigation. The court remanded the accused to jail custody for 14 days with the direction to jail authorities to produce the accused on 29th November.
According to the police, the accused belonged to banned outfit Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan and were involved in bomb blast on Benazir Bhutto procession on 18th October 2007. Accuses were apprehended on 31st October 2014, and police claimed to have seized hand grenades from accused possession.
The case FIR 415/14, 416/14, 417/14 and 418/14 were registered under Section 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act.
