Two women killed in road mishaps


KARACHI: Two women were killed and another three persons injured in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Saturday.

A woman, Razia, 45, wife of Nawaz was killed on Akhter Colony traffic signal near Qayyumabad area. She was crossing the road when a speedy vehicle hit her. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another accident a woman, Fehmeeda, 50, wife of Sheeraz died and her son, Hammad, 23, injured at Bilal Chowrangi in Korangi area when a speedy vehicle hit them. The body and the injured were shifted to the JPMC.

Yet in another mishap a man, one Bilal Baloch, 28-years-old, was injured in Orangi Town when he was hit by a speedy vehicle. He was shifted to Abbasi Shahedd Hospital for treatment.

A man, Hameed, aged 35, resident of Baldia area was hit and injured by a vehicle on Hab River road in Baldia. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
