Unannounced power cuts annoy citizens

KARACHI: Prolonged and unannounced electricity shutdowns have made life miserable for the citizens in the hot and humid weather in the holy month of Ramazan as complaints of power cuts across the metropolis are increasing by the hour.

Unannounced load shedding has become part and parcel of daily life in Ramazan which causes difficulty in times of Sehr and Iftaar. Scheduled load shedding, unannounced load shedding and different faults all of them have made life difficult for citizens.

Load shedding has affected Saddar, Old Area City, Lyari, Baldia Town, New Karachi, Korangi, Malir, Gulzar e Hijri and Shershah the most among other localities.
