UPDATED: Four killed, six injured in Karachi violence


KARACHI: Four people were killed and six others injured in different firing incidents here on Monday.

A man was found dead in Orangi Town No 15. Rescue sources said that the body was two-day old. The victim was brought to Sindh Qattar Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Sheraz, 30, a police volunteer, was gunned down at a hotel in Surjani Town. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for a postmortem.

Unidentified armed men shot dead a 35-year-old man, Fahad Ahmed, son of Ziauddin, in Dastagir. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

A 40-year-old man, Yousuf, son of Fazalur Rehman, was killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him near Riaz Hotel in 51-B, Surjani Town. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.

Parveen, 30, wife of Nasir, resident of Gulshan-e-Maymar, was shot and injured in Gulshan-e-Maymar. She was shifted to ASH for treatment.

Salamat Baloch, 25, son of Allah Bux Baloch, was shot and injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on him near Nehmat Qada Hotel in Chakiwara, Lyari. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Two brothers, Saeed, 30, and Akhlaq, 32, sons of Abdul Hakim, were shot and injured by unidentified gunmen in Qasba Colony. The injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Sohrab Khan, 25, was shot and injured when unknown gunman opened fire on him near Muhammad Ali Society. The injured was shifted to Agha Khan University Hospital for treatment.

A 35-year-old man, Ali, son of Afkar Ali, was injured in firing by unknown arm men in Port Qasim, Steel Town. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.
