Vision 2025 program to bring progress: CM


KARACHI:,,, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the Master Development Plan for all districts in Sindh had been prepared and being incorporated in the Vision 2025 Action Plan.

This he said while presiding over a meeting to review the development Action Plan (DAP) for vision 2025, held at CM House Karachi on Tuesday.

He said that goals of self-sufficiency in energy production, qualitative education and health facilities, safe drinking water services to all, making Sindh free from all fatal disease, development of agriculture and its associated components, empowerment of woman and social justice to all would be achieved under vision 2025 program.

The chief minister said that his government was already implementing many plans and projects for the general employment and empowerment of woman and the results of these could be witnessed from whole Sindh, especially at Jacobabad and Shikarpur district where thousands of women have been economically empowered through their skill development.

He said: “Woman folk contributes 50% workforce for nation building but it has always been deprived.” He said that Sindh was the only province, where government had provided 25 acres of land to landless women farmers to financially strengthen this segment of society.

He said that Sindh was blessed with huge natural resources which were yet to be exploited for the development of the nation. He hoped that vision 2025 would provide the full opportunities to exploit these resources for progress & prosperity.

Earlier the Additional Chief Secretary Planning & Development Mohammad Wasim briefed the meeting about DAP which to be incorporated into vision 2025 being conceived by federal government.
