World’s changing economy creating jobs: MAJU moot told
KARACHI:President, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi (MAJU) Prof. Dr. Zubair Shaikh said that world’s economy is changing rapidly which is resulting in creation of new academic programs and a large scale career opportunities for youngsters.
He said that in this situation, it had become very necessary for youths interested to start their education at university level to select a proper degree program suitable for them which may turn into a guarantee for a bright career opportunity in future.
This he stated while addressing a career counseling session under Faculty Development Program at the Conference Room.. A large number of faculty members of MAJU participated in this training session. Dr. Zubair Shaikh said that increase in use of technology in business activities had changed the working culture worldwide, now they moving towards automation in every department which had created positive impacts in the present working environment.
He said that parents of the students and teacher should refrain themselves to force the students to take admission in academic program of their choice, let them decide to select degree program in which they may continue education according to their capabilities and confidence. He said that similarly students should also judge that in which academic program they may perform better in a free and fair atmosphere, if they are interested to take admission in science and technology section or their interest is in Business administration or social sciences subjects take their decision confidently.
He also asked the students not to change their subjects after the start of classes, always select subjects with due consideration which are suitable for them with career counseling facility available at our University admission department.
