Karachi: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain Sunday decried what he called extrajudicial killings of his party men allegedly by the police and rangers and appealed the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation.
Addressing from London on telephone, he said in past injustice was meted out to Muhajirs during the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and now this process has again begun as the PML-N came in power. He demanded of the army chief to give justice to MQM and Muhajirs. He said police, rangers and other law enforcing agencies were involved in the killings of his party activities.
Altaf Hussain said the army not only defends the land but also the people living on it. He requested to dispense justice to the people of Karachi. He said the people who migrated to Pakistan are also truly patriotic. He said he has tried repeatedly to contact PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari but to no avail. He also demanded of Asif Zardari to do justice with the Karachiites.
