ANP demands handing Karachi to army


KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh leader Senator Shahi Syed on Thursday said that law and order situation in Karachi had gone out of control and demanded to hand over the city to army, immediately.

Condemning the target killing of ANP workers In Orangi Town, he said that provincial government, police and rangers had failed to control the situation, “There seems no government writ in the city and terrorist are openly targeting ANP workers, “ he added.

He said that politics for ANP in Karachi had been made an unforgivable crime and terrorists are targeting the party workers while law enforcing agencies were playing role of silent spectator.

He said that he had become tired by asking his party workers to remain peaceful so now the party had no other option except to demand army action in Karachi.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh spokesman Dawa Khan Sabar also condemned the killing of ANP workers and demanded of Sindh government to arrest the accused forthwith.
