KARACHI: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 6th International conference and awards distribution ceremony was held on Thursday at a local hotel. The program was organized by National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with UNEP, WWF, the Aman Foundation and the Citizen Foundation under chair of NFEH President Naeem Qureshi.
Pakistan’s 40 prestigious companies, NGOs and personalities with significant contribution to social development were conferred CSR awards.
Earlier representatives of some organizations including National Bank of Pakistan, Aman Foundation and Indus Hospital briefed the audience about their welfare activities and future programs. They urged the audience, most of them businessmen and industrialists, to generously contribute for their welfare programs.
Qureshi in his speech said that the CSR conference was organized to pay tribute to dignities and legends of the country, who made an exceptional difference in serving humanity. He said that the contribution of the corporate sector through CSR activities was praiseworthy and extremely positive which should be encouraged at a national level.
