Karachi: England’s women cricket team recorded a narrow two-wicket win against Pakistan with only a ball to spare in a warm-up match played ahead for ICC T20 Championship at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan No 3 Ground in Savar on Tuesday.
Pakistan batted first and put on board a modest total of 106-6 in 20 overs. Nida Dar and skipper Sana Mir batted well for the side with each scoring 36 runs.
The English side reached the victory total, in spite of losing their wicket one after another, on the penultimate ball of their inning. Lydia Greenway batted well for the side scoring 37 runs. Asmavia Iqbal and Sumaiya Siddiqi captured three wickets each for Pakistan.
