Five killed in city, body of infant found

KARACHI: Five people were killed in different incidents in the city while the body of an infant was found on Tuesday.

Thirty –years-old Rehan s/o Khalil Ahmed was gunned down by the unidentified armed men near Abbass Chowk, Nazimabad No- 2. The assailants managed to flee from scene after committing the crime. The body was shifted to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy.

In other incident, a man whose identity could not be ascertained was killed in firing of unidentified armed near in Bacha Khan Bridge Banaras area. The body was moved to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for postmortem.

Separately, 30 year sold Arshad s/o Ashraf, resident of Defence Housing Society Phase-I was targeted by unidentified armed men near Azam Basti area. He died on spot. The deceased shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities.

In yet another incident, 30 years old Gul Ahmed s/o Muhammad Zaheer was stabbed to death by unknown person at Afghani Camp, Superhighway area.

Road Mishap: 36 years old Asif s/o Qasim died in Garden area when a speedy vehicle hit him. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsy.

Body of infant found: The body of 1 month old baby was found from Zia Colony, Korangi area on Tuesday. It was shifted to hospital and further probe initiated.
