Karachi: Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman, laid foundation stone of Engr. Z. A. Nizami Block at the campus.
Speaking on the auspicious occasion Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman said that “Construction of Engr. Z. A. Nizami Block is a matter of commitment and values. The new block at the campus is being constructed with Late Nizami’s name in recognition of his remarkable services and efforts to follow the mission of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
He said, “We focus on to make this university distinct and distinguished and this new Block will be an important node in providing world class education for students from all backgrounds.”
Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman said “Our commitment to this institution is not simply a matter of creating modern facilities for deserving students or developing a brigade of teachers. It is also about creating a new national asset for the broad educational community. This objective will be achieved through an ambitious programme of professional teacher development, attracting talented candidates, sharing best practices, developing curricular innovations, and engaging in the most current training at the campus.
Total are of the building is 43961 sq feet. The new block will have state of the art laboratories of geology, surveying, environment, geo-informatics, simulation, antenna engineering, transmission switching etc. It contains 16 class rooms.
