Hearing of cop murder case adjourned

Karachi: Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of case of the murder of head constable Altaf Hussain due to non-production of the lawyers of PPP MNA Shahjahan Baloch and alleged Lyari gangster Ameen Buledi, who are accused in the case.

Police brought both accused in an armoured personnel carrier (APC) before ATC-III Judge under tight security; however, the lawyer of both accused was not present in the court.

The court directed that hearing should be adjourned t0 8th January 2014.

The case was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempted murder), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Baghdadi Police Station.
