Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman here Monday charged that the MQM was trying to use what he called a “Mohajir card”, to salvage its political credibility before local government elections.
In a statement, he questioned that why the MQM did not talk about the division of Sindh province during the regime of Gen Musharraf. He asked the government to take notice of conspiracies being hatched by anti-state elements against the country.
No patriotic leader can talk about to break the country on ethnic and linguistic basis, he commented. He wondered why the MQM did not demand distribution of the resources when it was part of the Musharraf and PPP governments.
