JI plans public rally in Karachi


Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will organise a public gathering against drone attacks and NATO supply on Sunday, November 24 at Hasan Square Karachi and JI amir Syed Munawar Hasan will address it.

This announcement was made by JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while addressing a press conference at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Sunday.

He said that JI during the rally will demand the government to withdraw from “war on terror”, as it was not war of Pakistan. It has been proved that the war on terror is not the war of Pakistan and the government should announce their separation from it, he added. He said Pakistani economy has sustained a loss of US$100billion in this war and over 50,000 people have been killed.

Earlier, JI Karachi Chief regretted over the loss of precious lives in Rawalpindi incident on Ashura. He strongly condemned the Pindi incident and demanded transparent inquiry and exemplary punishment to the culprits. He appealed the Ulema to cooperate with the Commission to probe into the incident.
