KPS cruises into Inter-School Cricket Tourney climax

Karachi: Karachi Public School (KPS) defeated Army Public School by 19 runs in semifinals to secure its place in the final of Aman Foundation Inter School T-20 Cricket Tournament (South Zone) here at PNS Karsaz.

Karachi Public School batted first in the match and put on board 118 runs losing all of their wickets in 18.5 overs. Mohammad Ali Tirmizi batted well for the side scoring 31 runs.

Army Public School in response scored 99 runs losing all of their wickets in 14.4 overs. Saad Tariq top scored for the side with 28 runs. After an impressive showing with the bat, all-rounder Ali also bowled well and captured three wickets. Furqan Siddiqui also captured a three-wicket haul.

The final of the tournament will be played between Karachi Public School and Habib Public School on Thursday, January 30 at PNS Karsaz.
