KARACHI: Health Secretary Sindh Iqbal Durrani on Sunday paid an emergency visit to drought-affected district Tharparkar.
Talking to media during his visit, he said that a doctors’ team, headed by Dr Prof Salma Sheikh, had been formed to cope with the situation. He said that the team, comprising 15 male and five female doctors, would work in different parts of Thar until end of the prevailing drought-situation.
He said that five nursing teams would also work with the doctors team. He said that two trucks of medicines had reached Thar and soon the situation would be overcome.
