MPA accuses Rangers of extra-judicial killing

KARACHI: MPA Javed Nagori alleged on Wednesday that Rangers officials involved in Karachi operation had used unlawful power in Lyari and caused extra-judicial killing of Baloch youth – Asif and Mohammad Akram.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Pres Club, Nagori claimed that some elements for their vested interests had disturbed the operation, made fake encounters and killed innocent people.

He said that trial of extra-judicial killings should be conducted in courts, while criminals should not be linked to Lyari or any other area. Instead they should be linked to parties if any, he said.

Nagori said that federal government had hatched a conspiracy to disturbed Sindh government in the pretext of operation. “If Federal Minister Chudhry Nisar Ahmed has any problem with Sindh government, then he should talk with PPP leaders,” MPA said.

He said that suspects should be produced before courts and media instead of killing them in fake encounters. Nagori asked MQM chief Altaf Hussain to make joint efforts for restoring peace in the city.

MPA Sania Naz, Habib Hassan and other leaders of Lyari were also present on the occasion.
