KARACHI: Nadia Gabol, Provincial Coordinator to Chief Minister Sindh, on Wednesday directed relevant officials to complete development schemes in Lyari within stipulated time so that residents of area get health, education and sanitation facilities.
Presiding over a meeting regarding development schemes of Lyari at her office, the provincial coordinator said that Sindh government was making all out efforts to resolve the problems of Lyari, a stronghold of PPP.
She said that PPP government had always paid attention on the development of Lyari and started mega projects. She directed officers concerned to complete the schemes of Library being constructed at Lassi Compound Kalakot so that masses could be benefitted.
She maintained that dwellers of Lyari are peace loving citizens, adding that they only need opportunities of development.
Nadia said that they need to pay attention on educational institutes and improve quality of government schools. In this regard, she announced to pay surprise visits to various schools of Lyari town.
She directed offices to ensure the attendance of teachers, and warned that strict action would be taken against absentees.
Assistant Commissioner South Mushtaq Shaikh, officers of education, health and local government also attended the meeting.
