NIM course team visits Sindh Secretariat


Karachi: Participants of 14th Study Management Course (SMC) of National Institute of Management (NIM) Lahore visited the Sindh Secretariat, Karachi, on Monday, led by Ms. Seema Najeeb Siddiqui, the Chief of Study tour.

Mumtaz Ali Shah, the Additional Chief Secretary Home, briefed the participants about the law and order situation and steps taken by the Sindh Government, in associate with LEAs. He also enlightened the salient feature of Targeted Operation in Karachi. To certain quarries by the participants, Shah noted the heinous crimes viz: Extortion, kidnapping for ransom, target killing and terrorism are also controlled, strategically.

Ms. Rehana Memon the Secretary Planning, made a presentation on Sindh Development Projects and Annual Development Programme, elaborating that Sindh is the main contributor in national economic development by providing 68% Federal Tax, 80% Custom Duty, 64% Income Tax and 75% Central Excise Duty.

The shields were also exchanged at this occasion. Later ACS Home presented report to Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana, to this effect.
