KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmad Khuhro said on Tuesday that demand of resignation from Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tharparkar tragedy was meaningless as public representatives were not guilty in this regard at all.
He was talking to media after participating in a seminar at local hotel. He said that PPP Chiarman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari could call Chief Minister Sindh and his cabinet members for consultation any time, while changes in ministries keep taking place as it is a routine matter.
He said that there should be no point scoring on Thar malnutrition deaths issue. He added that government is making policies while implementing them is the duty of bureaucracy, so action should be taken against neglecter officers.
He said that Sindh government welcomed Prime Minister’s one billion rupees aid announcement for Tharparkar people.
He said that report is sought on that how many deaths in Tharparkar occurred due to hunger and how many because of other causes. To a question he said that strategy had been devised to overcome Tharparkar situation and soon it would go toward improvement.
Earlier, addressing to the seminar, he said that only democracy was the solution of all problem that was why PPP was carrying all political party along with it for stability of democracy. He said that local body’s elections were delaying in the province due to objections on delimitation.
