Sindh govt vows to continue anti-polio drive


KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Wednesday that anti-polio campaign through LB organizations and employees would be continued across Sindh province.

He also issued directions to secretaries LB and Health in this regard and vowed to make the anti-polio drive more intensive if terrorists try to halt the campaign with more force.

Talking to the secretaries at his office in Karachi, Memon directed them to begin anti-polio campaign on emergency basis at all Taluka, Union and District Councils level and LB sub-organizations.

He directed them to use all resources of LB department for expanding the campaign in every street and neighbourhood.

He said that the government would not bow down before terrorists and never let children of the province to become handicap of polio.

Memon appealed to people of Sindh to foil all conspiracies against the campaign and play their due role in administering polio drops to their children.
